Ajit Panigrahi

Building and designing polished, friction-less digital products.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by.

I'm currently an Embedded Software Engineer 2 at Fortinet, in the heart of Bengaluru, India. I'm basically a "fullstack" web developer (despite other titles and roles) who loves solving challenging problems, which I like to call "puzzles". I enjoy designing and building intuitive, accessible products with human-centric experiences.

I am passionate about design – whether it is about the user experience, the interface or the architecture. The sheer impact it has on any given service, business or startup's success is what inspires me to strive for better. I aim to create a more empathetic environment for everyone through clear, conducive design.

Previously, I was working on completely rewriting the frontend design & systems for Musicspace, a UK-based start-up who simplifies music catalogue management. Prior to that and I was an intern at Keka HR, a B2B SaaS HRMS company. While at GITAM University, I studied programming while exploring design-thinking. I also was pretty involved in many student organizations and clubs, and was a founding member of the first ever dedicated coding community at our University. That was a lot of fun.

I'm always trying to grow and learn something new. Latest on my plate: Game Design and writing dialogue for RPGs. Perspectives, context, consequences.

Currently, I'm not looking for full-time opportunities, but I'm open to fun side projects. Please don't hesitate to reach out — I'm happy to chat about work or play!

Speaking

I organised and gave a few talks, both offline and online, for my University and also had the honour of being invited later for giving another talk again as an alumni.

Beyond

When I take a break from coding and designing, I enjoy reading mystery novels, manga, light novels, fanfiction and comics. I also fancy writing but I'm not very good at it.

Mechanical keyboards excite me, but also makes me fear for my wallet.

Stuff that I use on a daily basis is listing out on /uses.

On almost every website out there, my username is @ajitzero. Feel free to stalk me 🔍
